Medication prescribed to all our rural patients is dispensed by our practice dispensary. Patients living in the towns of Bourne or Grantham need to take their prescriptions to a chemist.
REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS
Your medication will be given to you with a printed copy of your repeat prescriptions.
To request repeat medication you may…
- telephone the surgery or
- post/deliver your ‘repeat slip’ to the surgery
- E mail your request: dispensary@GP-C83649.nhs.uk
- Website: order on-line (see under on-line services)’
When telephoning the Surgery to order repeat medication please do not call until after 10am as the Surgery is very busy with urgent appointment requests before this time.
We aim to supply your repeat medication within 48 hours (2 working days) of your request. At peak times of demand e.g. around Bank Holidays, this may not be possible.
The printed copy of repeat medication contains a ‘review date’. The dispensers cannot give you any more repeats once this ‘review date’ has passed until the Doctor reviews your medication.
When your medication becomes due for review the staff will advise you of any action you need to take – e.g blood tests or appointments with Doctor/Nurse.
(For patients with diabetes, and those taking thyroxine, warfarin or cholesterol lowering drugs, the date of your next blood tests is shown on your repeat medication list. Please arrange any blood test before making an appointment to see the Doctor; in many instances the review date will be amended by the Doctor on checking the blood results).
Please remember to order your repeat medication before you run out.
